U.S. Customs House Historic Hotel
Portland Oregon
Portland Oregon
"One of James Knox Taylor, Supervising Architect of the Treasury Department’s, finest buildings, the US Custom House is a resplendent example of English Renaissance architecture highlighted with Manneristic detailing. Unquestionably one of Portland’s finest historic structures, Peter Meijer Architect, LLC is the historic architect for The Pochter Group, Ltd’s development team that has proposed to convert the circa 1901 structure to a Historic Hotel. Availing the opportunities presented by the historic structure, The Pochter Group, Ltd’s development team has proposed a new hotel entry on the NW Broadway Street façade and to enclose the Park Ave. courtyard. The hotel will bring a needed amenity to the growing Pearl district of Portland."
