The Solomon Courthouse was designed in circa 1930 by local Portland architect Morris H. Whitehouse. The exterior of the building is faced with a veneer of off-white with prominent cinnamon veining Wilkerson sandstone from Washington. Peter Meijer Architect, LLC is the conservator and restoration architect for Cisneros Construction, general contractors responsible for stone restoration work. PMA provides guidance, specification for cleaning, repair, and replacement of the stone veneer, as well as, field coordination and construction feedback to the general and mason subcontractors.
